I fuckin love this piece, it's probably the most complex, intensive bag I've ever made and I am super happy with that, it's taken me around 3 days on and off to construct!

MATERIAL: Woven Canvas 300GSM

The Flood by Gustave Doré is one of his many dramatic and emotionally charged depictions, particularly inspired by biblical scenes. In this illustration, Doré captures the harrowing moment of the Great Flood from the Bible, a story from Genesis where God floods the Earth as a means of cleansing humanity’s corruption. The image is filled with chaos—humans and animals struggle against rising waters, trying to cling to rocky outcrops, while ominous clouds and turbulent waves reflect the overwhelming power of divine wrath.

Artist:

Gustave Doré (1832–1883) was a French artist renowned for his engravings and illustrations, particularly for literature like Dante’s “Divine Comedy” and “The Bible.” His style is known for its dramatic intensity, often depicting religious or mythological subjects with grand scale and depth of emotion. His use of intricate detail and contrast in light and shadow makes his work visually striking.

Public Domain:

Since The Flood was created in the 19th century, it is now in the public domain, which means it is free to use, reproduce, and modify without needing permission or paying royalties. This makes it ideal for creative projects, such as clothing designs, where the image can be adapted for modern use.
